If you’re planning an event, it can be tempting to just publish your tickets on an established platform like Eventbrite.
But for most independent organizers, that convenience vanishes the second they see how much those third-party platforms charge!
Most big-name ticketing platforms take a percentage cut of every single ticket you sell. To make matters worse, they also lock your attendee data away so you can’t follow up with your guests after the event.
Instead of a major win, selling tickets to your own event can quickly start to feel like an expensive, disjointed experience.
That’s exactly why so many smart event organizers, non-profits, coaches, fitness studios, and small business owners are moving their ticketing operations completely in-house with WordPress.
When you sell tickets directly through your own website, you can keep your branding consistent, avoid any middleman fees, and stay in control over your attendee list. This makes it easy to run follow-up campaigns and grow your community over time.
To help you find the absolute best ticketing plugin for your next event, I installed and tested all the most popular options on my own staging site. I connected them to live payment processors, put them through various real-world event scenarios, and analyzed the results.
Here’s exactly what I found, so you can pick the perfect event ticketing plugin for your WordPress website.
