Is there a service that will make my WordPress site look exactly like the demo when I bought the theme? i.e. menus, pages, images, content, etc? I want to encourage people to use WP but the templates always need to be built out after install which is sometimes difficult for beginners. Martin

Hi Martin, I don't know of a service that specializes in making WordPress sites look like the demo, but I'm positive that the experts at Codeable can easily knock this out for you, no matter what theme you're using. That said, most commercial themes include an XML file that contains the demo content. You can use this file to make your WordPress site look just like the demo:
  1. Log into your WordPress site.
  2. Make sure your new theme is activated.
  3. Go to: Tools > Import
  4. Choose “WordPress” from the list of importers.
  5. Upload the demo content .xml file.
  6. You'll be asked to map the authors in this export file to a user on your site.
  7. Then, you'll have the option of importing attachments. Click the “Download and import file attachments” box.
  8. Now, WordPress will import all the demo content, creating Posts, Pages, and Menus as needed. You may need to assign the menu to a theme location, and you may also need to configure some widgets.
If your theme does not include an XML file containing the demo content, reach out to the developer or creator of the theme to ask if one is available. If not, that may be an indicator of the quality of the theme or support you can expect down the road. You may be better off looking at a different theme. Hope this helps!
