I have wordpress 5.4.1 and my gutenberg version is different to the one explain on the video for 5.0 or newer version. How can I get the same as the one in the video?

Hi Christelle,
WordPress is continually under development. The last couple of minor releases included some tweaks to the Block Editor (Gutenberg).
Currently, work is underway on Phase 2 of the Gutenberg project, with a focus on full site editing (headers, footers, widget areas, and navigation menus). The next two major releases will bring major changes to the Editor.
Since I created the first WordPress 101 video series back in 2008, I've completely updated and re-recorded the entire series with each and every major WordPress release... something like 25 times!
As WordPress continues to evolve, they're releasing new features throughout the year, instead of the earlier pattern of just 3-4 releases per year.
The next major release (5.5) is slated for August, and I plan to update the WordPress 101 course for that release. Then, I'll turn right around and do it again for 5.6, which is slated for release in December.
BTW, here's a link to the WordPress Roadmap:

The changes to the Gutenberg editor have been fairly small, with the exception of the full-page Editor experience. Still, the changes are not significant enough to warrant a full-blown update cycle for our course — a process which typically takes 3-4 weeks to update all 35 video tutorials. It's no small undertaking.
So, please bear with the small discrepancies until I update and re-record once again. Then, we'll be up-to-date... until the next release. :)
Hope this helps,
Shawn
Hi Shawn,
Thanks for the update.
