I’m a multitasking budget constrained small business owner who never seems to have enough time to address hardly anything that needs my attention adequately. At the moment, I’m back to working with WP again briefly before flying to the next unrelated project.
There seems to be a proliferation of editing utilities. It used to be some relatively basic plugins like WP Edit and Tiny MCE Advanced, then I came across Ultimate ShortCodes, now visual page builders like Thrive Content Builder and Lead Pages. Of course, Optimizer Press has been around for a long time but, at least in its 1st generation, was not visually based, as I understand it. And there are more that I haven’t mentioned.
Anyway, I was wondering if you’d like to opine on these page builders.
Hi Billy,
Page builders are certainly the hottest thing in WordPress right now.
While they add the ability to easily create custom page layouts without touching a line of code, they are also known to cause conflicts with some of the most popular plugins.
Pippin Williamson, one of the most prolific and respected developers in the WordPress community, recently wrote this highly-detailed critical review of all the major page builder plugins available today:

The only other thing I'll add is that most of the agencies and developers I know use and recommend Beaver Builder if they use or recommend a page builder plugin at all.
