Before I updated my WP5.3 I had someone who could comment on any post. Now however, she is unable to. She tries and gets a message that the form will be sent through a non secure way. And then after a minute of trying, she gets this message: Request Timeout Server timeout waiting for the HTTP request from the client. Additionally, a 408 Request Timeout error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.   If anyone has any help or suggestions to offer, I'd really appreciate it! I don't know if it's my site, or her end that is the problem.

Hi Rebekah,

So sorry to hear you're having problems with your WordPress installation. Have you, by any chance, attempted to reach out to your web hosting provider where your site is hosted?

The errors you're describing sound like a misconfigured installation of WordPress, and will likely need to be fixed by your hosting provider.

Timeout errors are often caused by insufficient server resources. And the error about messages being sent in an insecure way is due to a misconfigured SSL certificate or your WordPress site failing to use https:// throughout the entire site.

Your hosting provider should be able to help you resolve these issues and get you back up and running!

Thanks. I’m not sure what happened, but when she tried commenting from another device besides her phone the comment worked.
But I will keep the other things in mind if this happens again.
