Social Media Sharing Buttons

Hi Manjeet, It's really not a great idea to create your own social sharing buttons. Generally speaking, social sharing buttons are one of the quickest ways to slow down your site. Each button utilizes proprietary JavaScript, CSS, and HTML that must be loaded on every page on which you choose to display social sharing buttons. On this site, we use the excellent Shared Counts plugin. It provides social sharing buttons that look great... and load fast. These days, there are hundreds of social sharing plugins. But I know the team responsible for creating Shared Counts, and they have over a decade of experience creating highly performant sites that scale for high traffic.
