I WOULD LIKE TO SIMPLY PASTE A PICTURE OF ME FOR NOW, BUT AM NOT SURE HOW TO DO THIS. DO I HAVE TO GO THROUGH GRAVATAR? THANKS!

Hi William,
Yes, the only way to have a gravatar is to go through Gravatar.com.
Remember, gravatars don't only work on your site; they work on any WordPress site. That's why you can't simply copy/paste an avatar on your own website. Other websites would be unable to access your uploaded profile image on your own website.
It takes two minutes: http://en.gravatar.com

replied 9 years ago Thank you, Shawn. Gravatar appears to only work for WordPress.com and I am using WordPress.org through Bluehost. I now have a Gravatar profile, but I can’t figure out how to get my picture in my profile on my webstie. Is there any more help you could give me or direct me to where I can get help? Thanks again.

replied 9 years ago No, it’s confusing, but actually Gravatar works across ALL WordPress sites, whether they are hosted on WordPress.com or anywhere else. Once you set up your account on Gravatar.com, you’ll see your profile pic on your WordPress.org site. Hope this helps!
