Microsoft Word is not built to create content for the web. As such, when you copy and paste text from Word directly into the WordPress editor, you'll find that the formatting is lost in the process. You'll have better luck just creating your content in WordPress to begin with. But if you really must import content from Microsoft Word into WordPress, you'll need to convert the content from the proprietary .DOCX format into HTML format.
