How do I delete a section in Gutenberg?

I just want to delete section/paragraphs – not the whole block

It’s not clear from your video which text you’re trying to delete, as there is no audio. But if you’re referring to the placeholder text that WordPress is displaying, that will not show when you publish your page. It just contains instructions for you when you’re editing that particular block.

Hi Kurt, To delete a section or block in Gutenberg, first select the block you wish to delete. Next, click the three vertical dots at the top right-hand corner of the block you wish to delete, then select the Delete option. That’s it! Be sure to save your changes. Hope this helps!

Thank you very much for your quick response - it is true that the SECTION does not appear, but it takes up space in the vertical column. But since the section is part of the BLOCK - it probably can't be deleted without deleting the entire BLOCK - It is the text box just below where it says HOUSE I want to delete.

Perhaps try a different block? It looks like you’re just trying to upload an image with a caption beneath it. It looks like you don’t need this particular group of blocks. Try a simple image block, or a gallery set to display in 3 columns instead?
