We have a WordPress template. We switched from the Twenty Seventeen template, but now the mobile menu is not working on the new template. Now the menu is not working on mobile, even when we go back to Twenty Seventeen. Any ideas as to what is wrong?

Hi Angela,

Mobile menus are a function of either your current WordPress theme or a plugin. It's likely that the NEW WordPress theme you installed and activated did not include proper support for mobile devices, including a mobile menu.

The default WordPress theme (Twenty Seventeen) however, does include support for displaying a mobile menu on smaller screens. This should happen automatically when you view your website on a smaller screen, like a mobile device, or when you resize your web browser to a very narrow width.

If you've (re)activated the Twenty Seventeen theme, but you're still not seeing the mobile menu on mobile devices, it may be an issue with either your web browser or your website server caching the previous version of your site. Restarting your browser may help, or clearing the cache.

As an alternative, if you have the Jetpack plugin installed, you can activate a complete mobile theme for your site:

Hope this helps point you in the right direction!
