I'm using a WooCommerce template (Outlet) and do not want a blog on the site. How do I keep the blog part from showing at all?

Hi Jan,
You certainly don't need to have a blog as part of your site strategy (though it is one of the best ways to improve your rankings in search engines and drive traffic to your site).
If you create a Custom Menu, you can choose which items appear in your navigation menu, easily excluding the blog, if you want. This tutorial covers how to create custom menus:
