I like to change the text from the email send by WordPress:
This is the text: “Visit the following address to set your password” and then you see a link. I like to add some more text to this email. Is that possible?

Great question. Yes, it’s possible to customize the text in the user registration email that WordPress automatically sends.

If you’re comfortable with the process of adding a function, here’s a link to the code snippets you’ll need:

Customizing the User Registration Notification eMails

If you don’t want to mess around with code, the “Better Notifications for WP” plugin allows you to customize WordPress emails and alerts:

Hope this helps!

Hi Shawn, thank you for helping. I installed the plugin but cannot find the right email that I like to change. Now I think maybe it is an email coming from Woocommerce. It is this text I like to add some text in the email.
Username: Akka de boer
Visit the following address to set your password:

I hope you know where that message is coming from.

That appears to be the new user notification that is automatically sent whenever a user registers on your site. It should be sent from WordPress, not from WooCommerce.

Hope this helps!

Thank you, good to know but unfortunately that plugin does not support that mail to make chances.

Well, that’s quite strange, because they list “New User Registration” right at the top of the list of email notifications you can customize with that plugin:

Sure yes I can do that, but that is the normal “New User Registration” email. But on this case WP wants user to change his/her password and user has to click on a unique link made bij WP.
