Some of my Page analysis is on red but the rest is green it says no images included (which there is) my keyword isn't in the first paragraph (which it is) and there is less than 300 words, my Yoast SEO light is currently on amber and says its ok for SEO will this be good enough to get ranked on google? and does anyone know how to fix the other problems? Thanks in advance.
Hi Jordan,
The indicators within Yoast SEO can be misleading at times. While it's generally a good idea to shoot for all green “lights,” you may find it necessary to ignore a few of them from time to time. What's more important is that your content is compelling and genuinely helpful for your audience.
I've published many articles with one or two stubborn indicators that simply wouldn't reflect changes I'd made. Or where I opted to ignore the indicators in favor of better content.
That said, some of the indicators do not update in real-time, but require that you save the article as a draft before they update. This is often the reason for stubborn indicators that don't change their status, even after you've made the recommended changes.
When possible, follow the recommendations, but keep in mind, they are only guidelines. It's not a requirement that you get all green lights before publishing.
Your articles will still be indexed by Google. Fine-tuning your article for SEO will only help improve where your article ranks. What's more important is that you're writing content that your audience will find interesting and helpful — so much so that they will want to share that content with their friends, co-workers, or family. That's how you'll build inbound links and traffic over time.
Hope this helps!
