Back to: Complete Guide to the Jetpack Plugin
Jetpack Sharing adds buttons at the end of your posts that give your readers the ability to easily share your content with Twitter, Facebook, and a host of other services.
The Jetpack Sharing feature adds social sharing buttons for popular social sites at the end of your posts. This lets users easily share your content with their communities. To enable sharing requires two steps. First, visit Jetpack Settings > Engagement and turn on Sharing. Then click Configure to set up your Sharing Settings.
From there, you can choose from the possible social sites and services and choose whether to show a button for that service or display it in a Share More button.
Then, you can customize the button style, what label or header appears, where to show the buttons, a Twitter username to include with Tweets, and whether to enable WordPress.com Likes. There is also a feature for developers who want to override the default CSS and JS.
Now, when you visit your site you’ll see social share buttons displayed after your posts. This is a great feature for you to encourage more user engagement on your site.
