I’ve been building WordPress websites for a long time, and I still remember when launching a new site meant weeks of wrestling with code or finding the budget to hire a specialist developer.
Those days are officially over. Today, you can go from a blank screen to a professional website in minutes rather than months.
I’ve learned that the fastest way to get online isn’t to start from scratch; it’s to let AI do the groundwork while you add the final personal touches.
If you want a professional site without the long wait for design and copy, you’re in the right place. In this guide, I’ll show you how to build a complete, custom website in under 60 seconds. Let’s get you online today!
My Experience with AI in WordPress: The Pros and Cons
In the past, building a WordPress website from scratch was a massive task. It required a ton of time and effort, and often meant you had to hire a development agency.
Today, the process looks very different because AI can now generate copy, custom images, or even entire websites for you.
However, it’s important to recognize that AI plugins and tools aren’t a magic solution. If you’re going to launch a professionally-designed website using AI, you need to understand the limits and potential drawbacks of using artificial intelligence in your workflow.
To start, here’s a brief overview of the advantages and disadvantages I’ve encountered when using AI to build a site.
The Advantages
- Significant Time Savings: AI is incredible for automation. It can generate initial design layouts, suggest content, and even write custom code snippets. This is a lifesaver for beginners or busy business owners who don’t have weeks to spend on a single page.
- A Cure for Writer’s Block: Whenever I’m stuck on a design or a headline, I use AI to spark my creativity. Often, AI provides images and content ideas that I wouldn’t have come up with on my own. This means I can move past that ‘blank page’ stage much faster.
- Your Own Technical Assistant: I sometimes run into design or code problems I can’t solve straight away. In those cases, I use AI to find errors in my CSS or suggest the right WordPress hook for a specific feature.
The Challenges
- Customization Limits: If I have very specific or unique requirements, then AI sometimes falls short. It’s great for standard designs, but you should plan to spend extra time manually fine-tuning or customizing your design when you have a very complex or unique vision.
- The Need for a Human Voice: I really dislike how robotic AI can sometimes sound. With that in mind, I always treat AI text as a rough draft. It’s important to review and edit all the text generated by AI, to ensure it sounds like your brand. I never publish AI text without a human edit, and neither should you.
- The Initial Learning Curve: Even with the right tools, there’s still a learning curve when you first start making websites with AI. The biggest challenge is learning how to give AI the right instructions. However, I’ve found that this becomes much easier after spending a few hours interacting with AI tools and reading through some good tutorials.
Using an AI Page Builder: My Preferred Shortcut
If the idea of building your first site feels overwhelming, don’t worry. I’ve built countless WordPress blogs and websites, and the process has never been easier than it is right now.
You don’t need to know a single line of code to create a professional business site. Instead, you can use a page builder that has integrated AI tools.
A page builder is simply a visual tool where you can drag and drop parts of your site into place. When you add AI to that mix, these tools can do all the hard work for you. Some page builders can even write your copy and generate custom images using AI.
Why I Recommend SeedProd
I’ve used many different page builder plugins, but I’ve found that SeedProd’s AI features are some of the best on the market.
The main advantage is the speed, as SeedProd AI Website Builder can create an entire website in seconds. Simply describe your business and this tool will generate a complete site with a homepage, ‘about’ page, contact section, and more.

After creating that initial design, you can import it into the SeedProd builder. Then, you can use SeedProd’s built-in AI tools to create additional text and images.
In this way, you can build a complete framework almost instantly, and then refine the details until your site looks exactly how you want. For example, if a piece of text feels a bit flat, then you can ask SeedProd to make it more persuasive or professional.

Getting Started with SeedProd AI
While you can download a lite version of SeedProd from WordPress.org, you’ll need the premium plan to access all the AI features I’m using in this guide. You’ll also need AI credits to generate images and text within the SeedProd editor.
You can buy these credits from the SeedProd website, or directly in the SeedProd plugin. With that said, it’s smart to budget for these costs upfront so you don’t run out of credits in the middle of a big project.
First, you’ll need to head over to the SeedProd website and buy a license, which starts at $39.50 per year. After that, you’ll need to install the SeedProd plugin on your WordPress website.
If you haven’t done this before, don’t worry. I’ve written a guide on how to install and activate a WordPress plugin, which walks you through the entire process.
Upon activation, go to SeedProd » Settings. Then, enter your license key into the ‘License Key’ field.

You can find this information by logging into your SeedProd account, or in the confirmation email you received when you purchased SeedProd.
With that setup out of the way, you’re ready to generate text, images, and even an entire site using AI.
How I Use SeedProd AI to Build Entire Sites
One of my favorite things about modern WordPress tools is that I don’t have to start with a blank screen anymore.
SeedProd’s AI is particularly impressive because it lets you create an entire website in seconds. Simply describe your project in a few words, and the AI uses that information to build a custom design for you.
Before we start, it’s worth noting that SeedProd currently lets you create 3 websites for free using this service. This is a great way to experiment with different descriptions before you commit to a final design.
Generate Your AI Site
To start, head over to the SeedProd AI Website Builder. Here, enter your email address and then click ‘Continue.’

You’ll now receive an email with a link to log into your SeedProd AI account.
After clicking that link, you’ll see how many sites you have remaining. You can now go ahead and click ‘Create New Website.’

Next, enter your business name and provide a brief description.
For the best results, provide as much information as possible. The more detail you provide, the better the initial design will look.
Then, just click the ‘Create My Website Now’ button.

The AI will now get to work, I’ve timed it myself, and it usually creates a design in around 22 seconds.
Once the design is ready, click ‘View Your AI Creation’ to see it in action.

SeedProd will display a live preview of your generated website.
You’ll notice it comes pre-loaded with custom pages, copy, and images that match your description. I really like that SeedProd doesn’t just give you a layout. Instead, it provides a functional starting point.

Import the Design to WordPress
When you’re happy with your design, the next step is moving it to your actual site. To do this, return to the previous screen and click the ‘Download’ button.

This downloads the entire site as a ZIP file.
Next, switch over to your live WordPress dashboard and go to SeedProd » Website Builder. Here, click the ‘Import/Export’ button.

In the popup that appears, click the ‘Import’ tab.
Then, click the ‘Select File’ button.

You can now select the ZIP file you downloaded earlier.
After that, click the ‘Import Templates’ button.

Fine-Tune Your Site
Once the design has been uploaded, go to SeedProd » Website Builder.
Here, you’ll see all the templates that SeedProd has created for you.

To edit any of these templates, simply hover over it and then click the ‘Edit Design’ link when it appears.
This opens the template in SeedProd’s drag-and-drop editor.

You can now fine-tune the design.
If you’ve never used SeedProd before, then it’s built around blocks. These are the core components of any SeedProd design, and they’re the key to creating all kinds of layouts without having to touch a single line of code.
Whether you need to add text, images, contact forms, or something else entirely, SeedProd has a pre-designed block ready to go.
To add a new block to your design, simply find it in the left-hand sidebar and then drag and drop it onto the page.

I’ve always disliked builders that make you guess how the finished design will look, so I really appreciate how SeedProd’s preview updates in real time.
To edit a block, simply click to select it in the live preview.
The left-hand sidebar will then show all the settings you can use to edit that block. For example, you might add text, insert links, or change the block’s alignment.

Want to remove a block from your design instead?
Then click to select it in the live preview. Then, click the trashcan icon when it appears.

Simply repeat these steps until you’re happy with the design.
To store your changes, don’t forget to click the ‘Save’ button in the toolbar.

At this point, you might want to explore SeedProd’s other integrated AI features to generate specific text or images.
While the initial site generator gives you a great framework, these additional tools help you polish the finer details of your pages. I use them all the time to replace generic placeholder text or to create custom visuals.
With that said, let’s look at how you can use SeedProd’s AI content assistant and image generator.
Using SeedProd’s AI Image Generator
I really dislike spending hours digging through stock photo libraries only to find the same generic images everyone else is using.
If that sounds familiar, then you’ll be happy to learn that you can create custom visuals directly within the SeedProd editor. I love this feature because I don’t have to leave my current tab in order to find the perfect image.
To get started, simply drag an ‘Image’ block onto SeedProd’s live preview.

With that done, click to select the Image block in the live preview.
Then, click the ‘Add with AI’ button.

A popup will now appear where you can describe exactly what you want.
Once again, it’s important to provide as much detail as possible. For example, instead of asking for a picture of a ‘beautiful’ cake,’ you can use a prompt like:
“A dark fantasy alchemy-themed cake masterpiece, ultra-detailed, cinematic studio lighting. It should be three tiers, with black fondant, decorated with intricate gold filigree, arcane symbols, constellations, sigils, and alchemical diagrams embossed into the surface.”
This kind of prompt gives me a unique image that looks like it was shot by a professional photographer.

I also sometimes experiment with angles in my prompts. For example, I might ask for ‘top-down’ or ‘macro’ views to get different perspectives. It also helps to use similar descriptive words like ‘minimalist’ or ‘vibrant’ across all your prompts, as this keeps the overall design consistent.
After entering your prompt, click on ‘Generate Image.’ After a few moments, SeedProd will display your image.

If you’re happy with the result, you can click ‘Insert.’
Alternatively, you can refine your prompt and click the ‘Generate Image’ button to try again.
Refining and Tweaking AI Images
Sometimes, SeedProd provides a result that’s good but not quite perfect. When that happens, you don’t need to waste time starting from scratch.
Instead, I use the ‘Edit with AI’ button to fine-tune the details until the image is exactly what I need for my site.

If you click on ‘Variations,’ then SeedProd will generate different versions of the same image.
This is great when you like the overall composition but want to see a few different takes on the same theme.

It’s also an easy way to get a set of images that feel cohesive for a single blog post or landing page.
To go ahead and create these variations, click the ‘Generate Variations’ button.

Alternatively, you may want to click the ‘Edit Image’ option.
This is a brush tool that lets you target very specific areas of an image, without changing the parts you already like.

To use it, simply erase the unwanted area with the brush tool and then refine your original prompt to describe the specific changes you want to see.
It’s important to restate your full original prompt along with the changes, because the AI needs the full context to generate the new image correctly.

After describing your edits, click the ‘Generate new image’ button. SeedProd will then create two variations that reflect the changes you requested.
I really like that SeedProd provides two options, as it gives me a choice without being overwhelming. You can pick the variation that best suits your site by clicking the ‘Insert’ button located beneath that image.
I use this exact process every time I need to add more AI-generated photos and images to my WordPress website.
How I Write Website Copy with SeedProd’s AI Assistant
One of the most daunting parts of building a new site is staring at a blank page, trying to come up with the perfect ‘about me’ section or a catchy headline. That’s why I use SeedProd’s content generator to kickstart the process.
To use this feature, simply add a ‘Headline’ or ‘Text’ block to your layout.

Then, click to select that block.
In the settings sidebar on the left, click the ‘Generate AI Text’ button.

This opens a popup where you can either type in exactly what you need or pick from a list of suggested prompts.
As always, the more information you give the AI, the better the results. For example, I might ask it to act as a luxury copywriter and write a high-impact section for a specific product. I’ll also define the structure, the hook, and the tone that I want.
After entering your instructions, click ‘Generate Text.’

SeedProd’s AI Assistant will then display the generated text.
However, this is only the first draft and you can refine the text directly in this popup. For example, you can adjust the tone to make it sound more professional or friendlier, or shorten the text if it’s too wordy.
To do this, simply use the buttons directly below the generated text.

You can also translate the text into over 50 different languages by opening the ‘Translate text to’ dropdown.
You can then choose a language from the list and SeedProd will translate the text for you automatically.

I’ve found the translation tool to be a massive help when I’m working on multilingual WordPress sites. It’s much easier than pasting the text into external translation tools.
When you’re happy with how the text looks, click ‘Insert’ to add it to the page.
My Best Practices for AI Copy
Honestly, I rarely use the AI’s first draft exactly as it’s written. I like to use AI-generated copy as a starting point rather than a finished product.
That means I always go back and add my own personal stories, specific business details, or simply a bit of ‘human warmth’ that AI often struggles to replicate.
If a paragraph feels a bit robotic, I’ll manually add one or two sentences that mention a specific experience I’ve had. In my opinion, this blend of AI efficiency and human perspective is the best way to create copy that actually converts.
Publish Your WordPress Website
When you’re happy with how the template looks, make sure to store your changes by clicking the ‘Save’ button in the toolbar.

You can simply repeat these steps to customize every template included in the design that SeedProd generated for you.
Pro Tip: Remember that you can see all these templates by heading to SeedProd » Website Builder in your WordPress dashboard. I usually go through each template one-by-one to ensure the AI-generated images and text are consistent across my entire site.
When you’re happy with how your site looks, it’s time to make the design live. Head over to SeedProd » Website Builder and click the ‘Enable SeedProd Theme’ slider so that it turns green and says ‘Active.’

Now, if you visit your website, you’ll see your AI-built design in action. It’s always exciting to see a project go from a simple text description to a live, functional site in such a short amount of time!
Frequently Asked Questions About Making a WordPress Site with AI
Building with AI is still a new process for many people, so it’s natural to have a few concerns before you start.
With that in mind, I’ve put together a few of the most common questions I hear from other blog owners and WP101 readers.
Can I build a professional WordPress site entirely with AI?
Yes! You can use AI to build the entire foundation, including the layout, the images, and the initial text.
However, in my experience, a truly professional site still needs a human touch. I use AI to do the heavy lifting, but I always take the time to refine the design and content, to ensure everything sounds perfect.
Do I need to know how to code to use AI in WordPress?
No, you don’t. In fact, that’s actually my favorite part about using a tool like SeedProd!
SeedProd lets you use straightforward prompts to generate designs and content. In this way, you don’t need any specialist coding or design knowledge.
Is AI-generated content bad for SEO?
Assuming your content is high quality and genuinely helpful to readers, the fact that it’s created using AI shouldn’t have any negative effects on your WordPress SEO.
However, I’ve found that raw AI text can sometimes sound robotic or lack specific facts. That’s why I recommend using AI to generate a strong first draft, before adding your own expertise to ensure your content is unique and valuable.
How much does it cost to use AI features in SeedProd?
You’ll need a premium SeedProd license, which starts at $39.50 per year.
On top of that, you’ll need AI credits to generate images and text. That said, I recommend checking the current credit pricing on the SeedProd website before you start a massive redesign. This will help you budget accordingly.
Can I use AI to translate my website into other languages?
Yes, and I’ve found this to be one of the most useful features when it comes to growing a global audience.
SeedProd’s AI can translate your text into over 50 languages. That means it’s a great way to launch your multilingual site quickly. However, I still recommend having a native speaker look over the final result for any small cultural nuances.
That’s all there is to it! You’ve successfully learned how to make a WordPress website with AI.
I’ve found that embracing these new tools has completely changed how I manage my own projects. It takes away the frustration of starting from scratch, so you can focus on the creative decisions that actually matter.
Whether you’re using AI to draft your copy, generate custom images, or build an entire website in under a minute, you’re now equipped to launch a professional site faster than ever before.
However, a great AI-generated layout is just one piece of the puzzle.
