Hey Joe,
The Gutenberg Editor definitely changes the way people write their pages and posts or build their Wordpress 5 sites.
I bet it will probably take sometime for current pool of Wordpress 4 site designers or bloggers to embrace the new editor. That also explains why the Gutenberg Editor plugin is not that popular right now.
As I am still new to blogging, to me, learning to use Gutenberg editor is just a nice start to adopt this new Lego-block building approach to create site contents in Wordpress 5.
With every element of a post or a page being treated like an object of its own and reusable posts and pages all that, the imagination is really the limit!
