Activating subscribers

Hi Adrian, Can you please clarify whether you're asking how to add a new user to your site with Subscriber permissions, or how to add someone to your email newsletter list? As an Administrator, you can add a new user to your site and then assign them to the Subscriber role. Go to Users → Add New. Fill in the required info, choose a password for them, check the box “Send this password to the new user by email” and select the Subscriber role using the dropdown. But if you're trying to add someone to your email newsletter list — that depends entirely on what email newsletter service you're using on your site. MailChimp, Constant Contact, AWeber, ConvertKit, GetResponse, Campaign Monitor, and ActiveCampaign are just a few of the choices out there. If you're using any of these services, you'll want to consult the documentation provided to you by that service. Jetpack includes a very basic subscription module that lets visitors to your site sign up to receive email notifications of your latest posts and comments.
