8 Best Upsell and Cross-Sell Plugins for WooCommerce

Best Upsell and Cross-Sell Plugins for WooCommerce

Every WooCommerce store owner has exactly the same goal: get more sales. But here’s the reality that most people miss: selling to your existing customers is significantly easier (and much cheaper) than finding new ones.

Despite this, many store owners get stuck on the ‘new customer treadmill,’ spending a fortune on ads to find fresh leads, while neglecting the audience they already have.

If you aren’t using upsells and cross-sells on your store, you’re missing an opportunity to increase your revenue during every single checkout.

When you suggest the right products at the right time, your Average Order Value (AOV) increases. Even better, your customers will be happier because you’re helping them find products they genuinely need.

If you’re ready to boost your revenue without blowing your ad budget, you’re in the right place. After testing all the most popular upsell and cross-sell tools, I’ve narrowed it down to the absolute must-haves.

That said, here’s the best WooCommerce upsell and cross-sell plugins to grow your revenue, and your store.

Why Add Upsells and Cross-Sells to Your WooCommerce Store?

Getting more sales from your existing customers is one of the smartest moves you can make for your online store.

In the WordPress community, we often talk about how it’s more expensive to attract new customers, compared to keeping your existing customers happy. By focusing on the people who already trust you, you’re not just saving money: you’re setting your store up for long-term success.

That’s where upsell and cross-sell plugins come in, as they allow you to suggest additional products or upgrades to your existing customers.

To start, let’s look at why these WordPress plugins are a must-have for any online store owner:

  • Lower customer acquisition costs: You’ve already earned the customer’s trust, so suggesting related products feels natural and requires zero extra ad spend.
  • Higher Average Order Values (AOV): Customers often buy more when they see relevant suggestions during checkout. This means you can boost your revenue without needing more traffic.
  • Better shopping experience: Helpful recommendations typically make customers feel understood and catered to, rather than pressured.
  • Flexible strategies: You can test different product bundles and discounts to see what resonates with your specific audience.

My Testing Process for WooCommerce Upsell Plugins

To put these plugins to the ultimate test, I installed each one on a WooCommerce store. I wanted to see which tools were practical, easy to customize, and could actually boost conversions without making my store feel clunky.

To give you the best recommendations, I focused on these key areas during my research:

  • Setup and interface: I tracked how long it took to install and configure each plugin. You should be able to launch campaigns without having to spend hours digging through complicated documentation.
  • Upsell and cross-sell features: I explored order bumps, one-click upsells, product bundles, and more. I also checked to see if all the plugin’s triggers and automations worked reliably.
  • Customization options: I tested each plugin’s design settings to ensure it could match any store’s branding and WordPress theme. I also looked for advanced targeting rules, so I could control exactly where and when each offer appeared.
  • Performance impact: Even a one-second delay can hurt your sales. With that in mind, I checked page load times and site speed after activating each plugin.

This process helped me find upsell and cross-sell plugins that are beginner-friendly, powerful and reliable enough for everyday use.

1. FunnelKit Funnel Builder – Best Plugin for One-Click Post-Purchase Offers

FunnelKit Funnel Builder – Best Plugin for One-Click Post-Purchase Offers

If you’ve ever lost a sale because your checkout process felt clunky, then FunnelKit Funnel Builder might be the perfect solution for you.

This powerful plugin lets you add post-purchase upsells to your checkout flow, so customers can add items to their order with a single click. Even better, shoppers don’t have to re-enter their payment information.

My Experience

When I first installed FunnelKit Funnel Builder on my site, I was immediately impressed by how the plugin replaces the default, cluttered WooCommerce checkout with a more streamlined experience.

Using FunnelKit’s drag-and-drop editor, I was able to build a professional one-page checkout in just a few minutes.

But the real magic happened when I added an order bump. I was able to place relevant product suggestions directly on the checkout page without disrupting the shopper’s experience.

In the WordPress community, store owners often worry that post-purchase offers will confuse their customers. To put this to the test, I set a rule to trigger a ‘Buy Two, Get One Free’ offer on my store’s thank you page.

I was impressed by how smooth the entire purchasing process felt. Customers could accept this offer instantly, without having to enter their payment information again, making the whole thing feel effortless.

To take things a step further, I explored FunnelKit’s A/B testing feature. I quickly and easily created two versions of an upsell page to see which headline performed better.

The analytics dashboard also updated in real-time, so I could see exactly which version was converting the best. This is invaluable information for any WooCommerce user.

✅ Pros of FunnelKit Funnel Builder:

  • User-friendly interface makes it easy to create high-converting funnels
  • Create one-click upsells without re-entering payment details
  • Flexible design options with templates for different use cases
  • Includes templates for single and multi-step checkouts
  • Over 23 widgets and modules for every step of the purchase process
  • Built-in analytics for tracking sales and conversions

❌ Cons of FunnelKit Funnel Builder:

  • Setup can feel time-consuming due to the variety of settings and customization options.
  • Limited built-in email marketing features, so you may need to install some third-party tools.

Pricing: Starts at $99.50 per year. Alternatively, you can download a lite version of FunnelKit from WordPress.org.

Why I Recommend FunnelKit Funnel Builder: This plugin is my top choice if you want to increase your Average Order Value (AOV). In particular, FunnelKit’s one-click upsell feature removes friction and captures sales at the exact moment customers are most willing to buy.

Quite simply, FunnelKit is one of the most effective ways to turn a standard WooCommerce shop into a high-performance sales engine.

2. FunnelKit Automations – Best WooCommerce Plugin for Automated Follow-Up Campaigns

FunnelKit Automations – Best WooCommerce Plugin for Automated Follow-Up Campaigns

If you’ve ever felt like you’re missing out on revenue because you aren’t following up with your customers, FunnelKit Automations is the tool for you.

This plugin is built for store owners who want to recover lost sales and cross-sell products long after the initial purchase. It does this by creating automated campaigns that target specific customer segments based on their behavior, purchase history, and past engagement.

My Experience

To test FunnelKit Automations, I stepped away from the checkout page and focused on what happens after a customer leaves my site.

To start, I set up a ‘Win-Back’ campaign targeting users who hadn’t made a purchase in 30 days. Using FunnelKit’s visual workflow builder, I created a sequence that automatically sends a personalized check-in email, followed by a limited-time discount code.

During this process, I was most impressed by FunnelKit’s segmentation features. On my test site, I could specifically target customers who had bought yoga mats but never looked at foam rollers. This level of precision is exactly why I consider FunnelKit Automations one of the top WooCommerce plugins.

With FunnelKit’s workflow automation builder, I was able to create complex sequences without writing a single line of code. I added triggers, delays, and conditional logic to create a wide range of personalized customer journeys.

I also tested FunnelKit’s pre-built automation templates for common eCommerce tasks. These templates saved me a significant amount of time compared to building all my workflows from scratch.

After setting up my campaigns, I checked FunnelKit’s built-in analytics. This let me track opens, clicks, and revenue made from each sequence.

Finally, FunnelKit supports both email and SMS marketing automations. I set up a cart abandonment sequence that sent an SMS reminder two hours after someone left items in their cart. This provided a much more immediate connection, especially when compared to other popular methods like email.

✅ Pros of FunnelKit Automations:

  • Streamlines repetitive tasks, saving time and resources
  • Enables personalized customer interactions through automation
  • Supports a wide range of triggers and actions
  • Offers a centralized dashboard to monitor and manage workflows
  • Powerful segmentation features for targeted messaging
  • Supports email and SMS marketing automations

❌ Cons of FunnelKit Automations:

  • Initial learning curve for setting up complex automations
  • Limited support for custom user roles in automation triggers

Pricing: Plans start at $99.50 per year. You can also buy FunnelKit Automations and FunnelKit Funnel Builder as a bundle, for $249.50 per year.

Why I Recommend FunnelKit Automations: This is a fantastic option if you want to automate post-purchase cross-sells and win back customers who haven’t visited your store in a while.

The segmentation engine lets you send highly targeted offers that feel personal and relevant, which can significantly boost your long-term revenue.

3. SeedProd – Best Plugin for Beginners Who Want Beautiful Product and Landing PagesThe SeedProd page builder plugin for WooCommerce

If you’ve ever found the default WooCommerce product pages a bit restrictive, then SeedProd might be the perfect solution for your store.

This popular page builder plugin is designed for store owners who want to create high-converting pages without touching a single line of code.

If you’re struggling to design pages that highlight upsells and cross-sells effectively, SeedProd’s drag-and-drop builder makes the process much smoother. Plus, SeedProd comes with dedicated WooCommerce blocks, so it’s easy to showcase related products, bundles, and special offers in a way that looks great and drives sales.

My Experience

When I tested SeedProd, I wanted to see how it handled a common challenge for beginners: creating a ‘special offer’ page that doesn’t look like a generic product list.

I used SeedProd to design a sales page for a fictional skincare line. The thing I really like about SeedProd is its library of dedicated WooCommerce blocks. I was able to drag a ‘Best Selling Products’ block onto my layout, and it automatically pulled items from my store and displayed them in a professional format.

Going further, SeedProd’s drag-and-drop builder made it incredibly easy to customize the rest of the page. I could move blocks, change colors, and adjust spacing without using any specialist technical or design skills.

I also spent time testing SeedProd’s subscriber management features. For this scenario, I created a coming soon page for a new product launch and included an opt-in form to build an early-access list.

I then used SeedProd’s ‘Products Related’ block to showcase other products the customer may want to buy while waiting for the launch. In this way, I could capture emails and promote existing products at the same time.

✅ Pros of SeedProd:

  • Very beginner-friendly design interface
  • Multiple dedicated WooCommerce blocks including an Upsells block
  • Wide range of professionally-designed templates
  • Real-time page editor and previews for continuous optimization
  • Responsive design guarantees your pages look great on mobile

❌ Cons of SeedProd:

  • You’ll need additional plugins for A/B testing
  • Lacks advanced analytics, so you’ll also need to install a dedicated Google Analytics plugin

Pricing: SeedProd’s pricing plans range from $39.50−$239.60 per year. Alternatively, you can download the lite version of SeedProd from WordPress.org.

Why I Recommend SeedProd: This popular page builder is perfect for creating stunning product pages that support upsells and cross-sells.

SeedProd’s dedicated WooCommerce blocks and drag-and-drop interface make it incredibly easy to build pages that convert, which can have a big impact on your revenue.

4. OptinMonster – Best Upsell and Cross-Sell Plugin for Capturing Abandoning Visitors

OptinMonster – Best Upsell and Cross-Sell Plugin for Capturing Abandoning Visitors

If you’re losing potential sales because visitors browse your products but leave without buying, then you may want to check out OptinMonster.

This popup plugin can identify the exact moment a shopper is about to abandon your site, and then present them with a targeted upsell or cross-sell offer.

My Experience

For this test, I wanted to tackle a problem every shop owner faces: visitors who browse but never buy. With that in mind, I created a fictional hobby shop and then used Optinmonster’s exit-intent technology to create a popup that only appeared when a visitor was about to close the tab.

But instead of just a discount, I offered a targeted cross-sell: ‘Wait! Get the glue and paint kit for 50% off when you buy your first model today.’ This precise behavioral targeting is one of OptinMonster’s biggest strengths, and something that makes it perfect for upselling and cross-selling campaigns.

I also tested OptinMonster’s slide-in scroll boxes on individual product pages. I know that popups can sometimes feel intrusive, so I wanted to see if Optinmonster could make them feel more like a helpful recommendation.

With that in mind, I only showed the slide-in after the visitor scrolled through 60% of the product page. After that, the slide-in would appear and suggest a few related products. As a result, the offer felt very natural and didn’t disrupt the customer experience at all.

Even better, OptinMonster’s drag-and-drop campaign builder made it simple to match the colors and fonts to my eCommerce theme, so the offer looked like a native part of the page.

I also explored OptinMonster’s built-in A/B testing capabilities. I created two versions of an exit popup to see which headline performed better, and the analytics dashboard updated in real-time. This data is vital because it helps you see exactly how many people are clicking and converting, so you can fine-tune your campaigns.

✅ Pros of OptinMonster:

  • Highly customizable campaigns tailored to promote upsells based on user behavior
  • Flexible design options for capturing leads and increasing conversions
  • Detailed analytics dashboard to monitor campaign performance
  • Exit-intent technology catches visitors before they leave
  • A/B testing helps optimize your results

❌ Cons of OptinMonster:

  • You’ll need to upgrade to a higher tier plan in order to unlock more advanced targeting features
  • You’ll likely need some additional plugins in order to optimize or track the entire customer journey

Pricing: Plans start at $7 per month. Although there’s no free plan available, OptinMonster does offer a 14-day money back guarantee.

Why I Recommend OptinMonster: This is a great choice if you’re losing visitors before they complete a purchase. OptinMonster’s innovative exit-intent technology and behavioral targeting help you present the right offer at exactly the right moment, which is a game-changer for online stores.

5. PushEngage – Best WordPress Plugin for Reaching Customers After They Leave

PushEngage – Best WordPress Plugin for Reaching Customers After They Leave

Are your campaigns getting lost in crowded inboxes? PushEngage is a comprehensive multi-channel customer engagement platform that helps you reconnect with customers long after they’ve left your site.

PushEngage uses real-time messaging to send instant upsell and cross-sell alerts directly to a customer’s preferred device. While many people think of ‘push’ as just browser alerts, PushEngage lets you reach your audience across Web Push, Mobile App Push (iOS and Android), and even WhatsApp Business messaging

If you’ve noticed that shoppers often forget about the products they viewed in your store, then PushEngage may be the solution.

My Experience

I wanted to see if PushEngage could help me reach customers after they’d left my store. For this test, I imagined I was running a garden supply store where users often browse expensive equipment but leave to ‘think it over.’

Instead of waiting for these customers to check their email, I used web push notifications to send a timely offer directly to their desktop. This is a game-changer because the message appears even if the customer isn’t currently on your site.

This direct line to the shopper is exactly why PushEngage is a standout choice for the best upsell and cross-sell plugins.

I also tested PushEngage’s automated drip campaigns to see how they handled ongoing, long-term engagement. I set up a series of three notifications over five days to promote a cross-sell offer, and I loved that each message was delivered automatically without requiring any manual input from me.

The ‘Revenue Attribution’ feature was particularly helpful here, as it allowed me to see the exact dollar amount these automated messages contributed to my bottom line in real-time.

Going further, PushEngage’s dedicated upsell and cross-sell templates saved me a ton of setup time. Instead of building my campaigns from scratch, I simply tweaked one of these ready-made templates.

I also used PushEngage’s analytics to measure the effectiveness of each campaign. I could see exactly how many people clicked, which helped me fine-tune my messaging to drive better results.

The only downside is that over-reliance on push notifications can lead to diminishing returns. If you send too many messages, customers might disable notifications entirely, so I recommend using them sparingly to get the best results.

✅ Pros of PushEngage:

  • Supports Web Push, Mobile App Push, WhatsApp, and On-site Chat.
  • Simple setup process for WooCommerce users
  • Delivers upsell offers directly to the subscriber’s screen
  • Supports targeted messaging through powerful segmentation features
  • Provides valuable insights into campaign performance and subscriber actions
  • Automated drip campaigns keep customers engaged over the long-term
  • Dedicated upsell and cross-sell templates

❌ Cons of PushEngage:

  • Push notifications can become annoying if overused
  • You’ll typically need additional tools in order to create complete marketing campaigns

Pricing: Plans start at $8 per month. There’s also a free plan that lets you create 30 campaigns for up to 200 subscribers, which is a great way to try the service out.

Why I Recommend PushEngage: This is a powerful tool for any business that needs to drive repeat revenue through automated messaging.

Web push and WhatsApp are my favorite ways to cut through inbox clutter and deliver timely upsell offers that encourage immediate action.

6. Advanced Coupons – Best WooCommerce Plugin for Discounts and CouponsAdvanced Coupons – Best WooCommerce Plugin for Discounts and Coupons

Advanced Coupons is built for store owners who want to create promotions that are more sophisticated than a simple percentage discount.

If you’re tired of basic coupon codes and want to offer compelling BOGO deals, loyalty rewards, or auto-applied coupons that encourage cross-sells, then Advanced Coupons may be exactly what you’re looking for.

My Experience

When I tested Advanced Coupons, I wanted to see if I could create a promotion that went beyond a standard discount. I set up a ‘Buy One, Get One’ (BOGO) deal for a fictional candle shop, so customers who bought a large jar candle would get a travel-sized tin for free.

This is surprisingly difficult to configure using the standard WooCommerce settings, but Advanced Coupons made everything straightforward.

This ability to create enticing and varied offers is exactly why I consider Advanced Coupons such a must-have WooCommerce plugin. It’s one of the best ways to encourage customers to try products they’d have otherwise overlooked.

I also spent some time exploring Advanced Coupons’ Loyalty Program integration. I created a simple system where customers earned points for every dollar spent, which they could later redeem for unique coupon codes.

During my testing, I found the interface to be very intuitive because it builds on the familiar WooCommerce coupon screen. In the WordPress community, I often hear that managing separate loyalty and coupon plugins can be a headache, so having them integrated is a huge plus.

Going further, Advanced Coupons’ scheduling and restrictions let me control exactly how and when customers could use my coupons. For example, I set up a flash sale that only applied to specific product categories during a weekend.

The cart conditions feature also let me create rules like ‘Free shipping on orders over $50’ or ‘10% off if you buy three items from this category.’ I love that these discounts just appear in the cart without the customer having to enter a code, which removes a major point of friction at checkout.

✅ Pros of Advanced Coupons:

  • Boosts sales through advanced and varied discount strategies
  • Intuitive, user-friendly interface that builds on the WooCommerce dashboard
  • Helps retain customers through loyalty rewards and strategic discounts
  • BOGO deals encourage cross-selling
  • Auto-applied coupons remove friction from the purchasing process

❌ Cons of Advanced Coupons:

  • Configuration can become more complex if you want to use elaborate discount scenarios

Pricing: Plans range from $99.50−$249 per year. Alternatively, you can download the lite version of Advanced Coupons for free.

Why I Recommend Advanced Coupons: If you want to create strategic promotions that drive upsells and cross-sells, then this plugin is a fantastic choice.

In particular, Advanced Coupons’ BOGO deals and loyalty programs are perfect for encouraging repeat purchases, and building long-term relationships with your customers.

7. YITH WooCommerce Frequently Bought Together – Best Plugin for Amazon-Style Product Bundles

YITH WooCommerce Frequently Bought Together – Best Plugin for Amazon-Style Product Bundles

YITH WooCommerce Frequently Bought Together aims to help you recreate that familiar Amazon-style shopping experience on your own site.

It lets you suggest relevant product bundles so customers can discover more items without leaving the current product page. If you’re looking for a way to boost your revenue by making it easier for shoppers to find exactly what they need, you’ll find this plugin is a perfect fit.

My Experience

To test YITH WooCommerce Frequently Bought Together, I wanted to recreate that familiar ‘Amazon-style’ shopping experience for a fictional digital camera store.

My goal was to move beyond simple upsells and create a setup that felt genuinely helpful. To do this, I used YITH to pair a popular DSLR with a compatible memory card and a padded carrying case.

YITH does a great job at presenting these items as a cohesive bundle. Instead of aggressive popups, it places a clean, professional section right below the product description.

I then spent some time customizing the section to match my site’s branding. I was able to fine-tune the button colors, text labels, and background colors to ensure everything felt like a native part of the page.

You can even choose exactly where the ‘related products’ box appears – whether that’s below the product summary or above the product tabs. This flexibility helped me place the suggestions where they’d get the most attention.

To make these offers even more attractive, I tested the discounted pricing options. I offered a 10% discount when customers added all three suggested items to their cart at once.

✅ Pros of YITH WooCommerce Frequently Bought Together:

  • Encourages additional purchases by suggesting relevant product bundles
  • Helps increase average order value with enticing bundle discounts
  • Supports various pricing models, allowing you to create various discount strategies
  • Fully customizable ‘Frequently bought together’ section

❌ Cons of YITH WooCommerce Frequently Bought Together:

  • Requires additional plugins for more advanced analytics
  • No built-in A/B testing for bundle effectiveness

Pricing: You can purchase an annual license for $79.99. Although there’s no free version available, YITH does offer a 30-day money back guarantee.

Why I Recommend YITH WooCommerce Frequently Bought Together: This plugin promises to boost sales by suggesting product bundles, and encouraging customers to purchase complementary items.

YITH’s clean presentation and flexible customization make it easy to create a helpful shopping experience that can have a big impact on your bottom line.

8. TrustPulse – Best Plugin for Building Buyer Confidence Through Social Proof

TrustPulse – Best Upsell and Cross-Sell Plugin for WooCommerce for Building Buyer Confidence Through Social Proof

If your store feels a bit ‘quiet’ to new visitors, then they may hesitate to make a purchase.

TrustPulse is designed to fix this exact problem, by displaying notifications of recent purchases and interactions. This shows that shoppers are actively engaging with your store, which immediately makes you seem more trustworthy.

My Experience

I often hear from users who worry their store seems quiet to new visitors. To fix this, I used TrustPulse’s social proof notifications to highlight the steady stream of interactions happening behind the scenes.

I was particularly impressed by TrustPulse’s advanced targeting options. I was worried my notifications might become distracting, so I configured them to only appear on specific, high-value pages where they’d have the most impact.

TrustPulse’s customizable settings meant I had no problems fine-tuning these alerts to match my WordPress theme. I changed the colors, fonts, and even positioning to ensure TrustPulse’s notifications felt like a native part of the shopping experience.

I even tried using TrustPulse’s custom activity tracking to highlight non-purchase interactions, such as every time someone joined my email list. This helped me create momentum, even on pages where a direct sale wasn’t the main goal.

Overall, the setup process was incredibly fast, and I created my first campaign in under 10 minutes.

The only potential drawback is that TrustPulse’s notifications can disrupt the user experience if you overuse them. If you display too many alerts on too many pages, then shoppers may become frustrated.

With that said, I recommend finding a balance that feels helpful and informative, rather than overwhelming.

✅ Pros of TrustPulse:

  • Builds trust with potential customers through social proof
  • Real-time activity tracking shows latest interactions straight away
  • Boosts perceived product popularity, leading to more potential upsells
  • Simple to set up and customize without any specialist design skills
  • Helpful analytics provide insight into how social proof affects user behavior

❌ Cons of TrustPulse:

  • Notifications can damage the user experience if overused
  • Notifications require website activity, so TrustPulse may not be ideal for very quiet or new stores

Pricing: Starts at $5 per month.

Why I Recommend TrustPulse: When it comes to using social proof to build trust and create a sense of urgency, TrustPulse is my top pick.

TrustPulse’s notifications create momentum and encourage visitors to act quickly on upsell and cross-sell opportunities, making it a valuable addition to all sorts of online stores.

Which Is the Best Upsell and Cross-Sell Plugin for WooCommerce?

After testing all these WooCommerce plugins, I’m convinced that the right tools can do much more than increase your sales.

The right plugins can improve the overall shopping experience by helping your customers discover other products they may want to buy. They can also make your store appear more trustworthy, which is essential for converting visitors into first-time buyers.

If you’re ready to add an upsell or cross-sell plugin to your WooCommerce toolkit, then here’s my suggestions:

  • I’d recommend using FunnelKit Funnel Builder to add one-click post-purchases offers to your WooCommerce store.
  • Next, I’d add FunnelKit Automations for streamlined follow-up campaigns and win-back sequences.
  • After that, I’d use SeedProd to design beautiful product pages and landing pages that highlight your best offers.

With that done, I’d consider adding other tools based on your specific needs. For example, you might use OptinMonster for exit-intent targeting, or use PushEngage to communicate with shoppers, longer after they’ve left your site.

WooCommerce Upsell and Cross-Sell FAQs

Creating upsell and cross-sell strategies can feel a bit overwhelming at first, especially when you’re trying to balance sales goals with a great user experience.

To help you get started, I’ve answered some of the most common questions I hear from other store owners in the WordPress community.

What’s the difference between an upsell and a cross-sell?

An upsell encourages customers to buy a more expensive or upgraded version of the product they’re currently viewing. For example, if someone is looking at a 16GB tablet, an upsell might suggest the 64GB model instead.

Meanwhile, a cross-sell suggests related or complementary products that work well together, such as offering a protective case or a stylus to go with that tablet.

Will upsell plugins slow down my WooCommerce store?

Most well-coded upsell plugins should have a very minimal impact on your site’s speed and performance. However, it’s always best practice to test your store’s performance after installing any new tool, just to be sure.

Can I use multiple upsell plugins on the same store?

You can, but be cautious about overlap.

Using multiple plugins that perform similar tasks, such as triggering popups, can lead to a confusing and overwhelming user experience. This will almost certainly hurt your conversion rates.

With that in mind, I recommend choosing a few plugins that serve a very clear, distinct purpose. For example, you might use FunnelKit Funnel Builder for your post-purchase offers and OptinMonster for your exit-intent popups.

When is the best time to show an upsell offer?

In my experience, it’s best to target customers when they’re already in a ‘buying’ mindset.

This includes during the checkout process (often called order bumps), immediately after they’ve made a purchase (one-click upsells), or through automated follow-up campaigns like email or push notifications after they’ve left your online store.

Do I need a paid plan to use upsell plugins?

Many of the plugins in this showcase offer lite versions with essential features. This means you can try the upsell or cross-sell plugin out, before committing to the premium version.

However, if you want to use advanced features like complex automations, detailed analytics, or one-click upsells, then you’ll usually need to upgrade to the premium version. For most growing WooCommerce stores, the increased revenue will quickly cover the initial costs.

Will upsells annoy my customers?

When you do them right, upsells won’t feel like a sales pitch. Instead, they’ll feel more like a helpful recommendation.

For the best results, you should try to suggest relevant products that actually add value to the customer’s purchase.

Upsell and cross-sell plugins are only one part of building a high-converting online store. Ultimately, you’ll need to choose the right combination of tools in order to get more sales and optimize the entire customer journey.
